Portloe sits on the eastern side of the Roseland Peninsula; with a Mediterranean feel there are lots of pretty coves, quiet sandy beaches and hidden creeks to explore.

To walk...

The walks directly from Kerbenetty are split simply; right and left. 'Right' takes you up onto the coast path in the direction of Carne and Pendower beaches, and there are walks of varying lengths; a great 30 minute loop, and then longer walks to different beaches, villages, and beyond.

'Left' walks take you onto the coast path in the other direction - towards Portholland. Both are beautiful and have the unique south coast rugged charm.

To eat...

There's great food in this part of Cornwall. From bakeries, to coffee shops, to pubs, to huts serving amazing food right on the beach, to 'posh' restaurants just a drive away. There will be one compulsory lunch during your stay... a Cornish pasty, or as my stepdad calls it, 'God's superfood'.

If it rains...

Although the water may be mediterranean blue in Summer, we all know the weather isn't quite so reliable in the winter months...

If you are stuck with a rainy day or two, and a wet walk won't satisfy all parties, there's always things to do, such as the lovely cinema in Truro (25 min drive) on Lemon Street.

When you've booked, you'll receive a welcome booklet with much more detailed information on restaurants, pubs, walk routes, house rules, important numbers etc.

Kerbenetty is in Portloe, a sleepy Cornish fishing village on the Roseland. Truro (Cornwall's capital) is a 25 minute drive away, and the Roseland is home to lots of wonderful villages to explore - we recommend Portscatho especially!
